This was just an optimal selection for a weekend break in San Diego with very good value for money. The pool area was nice, but the room had a musty smell that wasn’t very pleasant. Be sure to ask about room options to get a better room view.

I loved relaxing by the pool and soaking in the hot tub after a long day of exploring. The outdoor area is fantastic for lounging, and I really enjoyed the tasty breakfast served daily. Just a heads up, the Wi-Fi can be a bit spotty at times, but it didn’t ruin my trip! 😊

Loved the cool tennis court setup and enjoyed some quality time fishing by the harbor. The clean rooms with coffee makers made it feel like home.

Recommend it for a group getaway

We were right next to the marina and it was like having VIP access to the water, every morning waking up to that sight was incredible. Plus, the staff? They went above and beyond when we arrived early, holding our bags without a hitch.

It wasn't cheap, about 300 bucks for two nights but for that view and service, I can live with it.

We had an amazing getaway at this hotel with our large breed dog! The stunning marina views were a highlight, and we took full advantage of the extended pool hours. Plus, enjoying a meal at the on-site restaurant was a treat after a day spent biking along the nearby bayside paths.

My kids wished there were more family-oriented activities. Just a few more options would have made our stay even better.

The Queen Room with Two Queen Beds was clean and comfortable, but the darkness was a surprise due to limited lighting on the first floor, affected by bushes outside. The location offers beautiful views and is close to various attractions, making it convenient for families. Dining options were delightful, especially with the availability of Italian products. However, the hallways felt a bit outdated, and the gap under the main door allowed noise from the rain to enter.

best western was a great choice for our getaway. the quiet location was perfect, with our room opening up to a lovely patio. we enjoyed being just a quick 10-minute drive from gas lamp and the embarcadero. the room was comfortable and clean, and the beds were heavenly. there were so many restaurants nearby – such a bonus!

Enjoyed my two-night stay in a lovely Standard King Room with an amazing marina view. The staff provided excellent service, and the on-site restaurant served delicious meals. Pro tip, try the room service for a cozy dinner experience. Just ensure your AC/Heater is clean before use.

The marina view from my deluxe king suite was absolutely stunning! 🌅 The location was perfect, but the carpets could use a deep clean for sure.

The Fathom Bistro had some killer crepes that made my mouth sing! Also, the poolside bar was a chill spot to unwind after exploring the neighborhood. Plus, the staff were helpful and attentive, making the experience smoother.

But yikes, I was greeted by some funky smells and grimy carpets—my feet turned black in minutes. Finding a condom wrapper was a definite buzzkill.
